Atlanta Braves Rehabilitation Coordinator, (2005), assisting to return 17 post-operative pitchers, with shoulder and elbow surgeries, back to game- competition in a 160-day rehabilitation program.
Pitched in both the American and National Leagues, facing hall-of-famer George Brett in Sept. 29, 1979 debut in Kansas City.
Has had over 100 Major League pitchers pass through his hands developing in the Minor Leagues; notably Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, Eric Bedard, Sterling Hitchcock, and John Maine, winning seven league championships in ten countries, including Taiwan Major Leagues.
Member of Team USA for the first World Championship Team (1973) in Central America.
Currently pitching coach for the AAA Colorado Springs SkySox. Previously, Dave spent 2011 – 2012 with the AA Tulsa Drillers in the Texas League where he has led Tulsa to a TL-leading 3.32 ERA. Spent 2010 as Asheville’s pitching coach. Was a pitching coach in Yankees organization for seven seasons. Schuler pitched in the majors with the Angels in 1979-80 and Atlanta in 1985. Pitched in TL in 1977 with El Paso. Graduated from and inducted into the Hall of Fame at the University of New Haven.
