Cid Wilson got his first job working on Wall Street in the mailroom as an unpaid intern, because nobody believed in his skills and potential leadership. Despite competing against Ivy League-educated colleagues for promotions, Cid Wilson rose from the mailroom to the Executive Room at UBS PaineWebber in Columbus, OH before spending over 5 years at Smith Barney Citigroup in their Equity Research Division in New York City where his team was named as a runner up in the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team. Now, he is a Senior Analyst and Director of Research for Kevin Dann & Partners LLC in New York City, working his dream career.

In 1997, Cid Wilson was among the co-founders of Dominicans On Wall Street (DOWS) which is an organization that inspires Dominicans and Latinos to defy the odds and reach for their dreams in terms of executive careers at Wall Street financial service firms. Mr. Wilson is still on the board of directors today. http://www.dows.ws Through DOWS, Cid Wilson launched the first ever Career Day initiative at George Washington H.S. and Gregorio Luperon H.S. in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. The program has been so successful that it has gotten media attention and Cid Wilson gave the 2006 Commencement Addresses for the G.W. High School Graduation Ceremony in June 2006.
Cid Wilson served as President of the Dominican American National Roundtable (DANR), a non-partisan Washington, DC-based institution which is America's only Dominican organization that advocates for Dominicans at the national level. Cid Wilson is a "Life Member" of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and a "Leadership Circle" member of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). In October 2006, the NAACP of Bergen County, NJ recognized Cid Wilson with the Edward P. Dixon Award for his leadership and contributions to people of color.
Cid Wilson’s corporate and community success caught the attention of various elected officials to the point that Cid Wilson has been honored to serve the people of Bergen County and the State of New Jersey in a voluntary fashion.
In April 2003, Cid Wilson was appointed as Commissioner of the Bergen County Improvement Authority by County Executive Dennis McNerney, making him the youngest Commissioner as well as the first person of color to ever have such an appointment. This appointment is the highest appointment that can be given in Bergen County among voluntary (non-paid) appointments. Cid Wilson served from April 2003 to March 2007.
In August 2003, Cid Wilson was appointed by former NJ Governor James McGreevey to the New Jersey Ethnic Advisory Commission which advised the governor on issues effecting the multi-ethnic population in New Jersey.
In November 2005, Governor Jon Corzine appointed Cid Wilson to his Gubernatorial Transition Team as part of his most important transition group, The Property Tax Reform Policy Group, which advised the Governor on recommendations for property tax reform in New Jersey.
In May 2006, Cid Wilson was appointed as Trustee to the Board of Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ.
In 2004, 2005, and 2006, Cid Wilson was honored to address The White House on behalf of the Dominican community in America during the White House Dominican Independence Day Reception (which is every February 27). In 2005 and 2006, Cid Wilson was honored to give the opening speech.

Cid Wilson is an alumnus of The Ohio State University where he was President of the Latino Student Union while attending OSU. He currently resides in Leonia, NJ. He is a life-long resident of Bergen County, New Jersey. His parents came to the U.S. as immigrants from Barahona, Dominican Republic and his father Dr. James A. Wilson opened one of the earliest Dominican medical practices in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan.
